The nation of Afghanistan is in turmoil and most people have great difficulty in bringing a sense of normalcy into their lives. One of the greatest challenges has been the providing of education to children.

In April of 2007 the Afghan consulate approached Zakat Foundation in recognition of our past achievements in education in the region and asked us to come into the country which has suffered so much and help them to re-establish the schools.

Insh’Allah, the new schools that you see here will be completely rebuilt and ready to provide complete education at the start of the new school year.

Our work for Afghanistan has only begun, more schools are needed and the people are continuing to struggle toward prosperity.
