To live healthy, to be free of disease and suffering, to be able to breathe the open air, to play, to learn and to work; these all seem like simple requests and yet for millions around the world these simple human rights are unattainable. It is considered the duty of The Zakat Foundation to provide health services to those who cannot receive them elsewhere. For the malnourished child in Ethiopia who needs vitamins and nutrients fed into his system intravenously, for a woman stricken with waterborne illnesses in India, for the man in Pakistan who will die of a simple wound infected by foul waters. For all these people we must be available to provide simple healthcare.

Clinic in Lebanon
In the south of Lebanon near Iklim Al-Kharoub our clinic helps nearly 100 people a day serving those who are in great need, many of whom are refugees and all of whom are grateful for the benefits given.

Hospital in Kashmir
Shortly after the earthquake in Southeast Asia in October of 2005, ZF and its partner established field clinics to treat the injured victims; due to such urgent need, ZF has turned the largest and best of the field clinics into a permanent and fully operational hospital.

Throughout developing nations simple vaccines and medical treatments can save lives, the free medicine campaign seeks to put doctors in places where they can do an incredible amount of good with the simplest of actions.
