Clinic in Ghana

The first clinic established by The Zakat Foundation was founded in the town of Akrafrom in west-central Ghana near the historical community of Larabanga. The clinic had been abandoned for some time when ZF arrived in Ghana, in October of 2002 it was completely renovated and re-opened by ZF. The Ashanti region is in heavy need of this source of healthcare as there is a long distance to travel for any medical care.

Within the first year of operation, over 450 people were healed and 45 children were safely delivered. The team began to reach out to provide basic medical care to villages up to 30km away. In a region where traveling on foot is more common than any other method, this is a great distance to extend help. Over 5,000 people are in the area supported by this clinic.

Many people are too weak to travel and reach the clinic; therefore we have a serious need to get an ambulance that can act as a mobile clinic for this area. At the cost of only $15,000 to $20,000 mobile clinics can provide an outstanding level of care and support.

Please donate today to provide an ambulance / mobile clinic to Ghana.

The Ambulance you provide can carry the name of your community.
