The Gansu province is the very heart of Oriental civilization, the end point for the great Silk Road and the oldest Muslim community in China. Though Chinese Muslims number at between 20-30 Million  (inofficial  number of Muslims estimated as 120-130 Million), Muslims outside of China know very little about Chinese Muslims.

Newly opened Fu-Xing high school in the Gansu province, is one of the project ZF is sponsoring. Since in Gansu province, Most of the children lack access to education this project means allot to them. The Director of Fu-Xing High School says, “The Zakat Foundation’s involvement in China gives new hope to Chinese Muslims.”

So many children in China are forced to leave school because of the expense; they end up receiving very low pay as the cheapest laborers at construction sites and often become seriously injured. Many even become jailed as a result of their poor educational background.

There are roughly 150 students each year at the Fu-Xing school. Since most families cannot afford tuition they rely on our donors in order to reach their educational goals. We need your support! Please provide for a student’s education for only $50 per month.
