Hospital In Kashmir

For many in the areas struck and devastated by the earthquake in 2005, our field clinics were the only means of survival. As hospitals were crushed in the initial shockwave, remaining health care facilities were overflowing with patients. To serve an immediate need, The Zakat Foundation of America established multiple field clinics and “M.A.S.H.-like” units which provided full hospital care in a temporary structure.

Following the breakdown of relief activities over the course of last year while life began to rebuild, most of the field hospitals were disassembled. One, however, in Kashmir was kept open and has been transformed into a fully-operational hospital. This facility has every capability that one would expect from a small hospital including surgical bays, maternity wards, outpatient care and a staff of well-trained doctors and nurses. There are X-ray facilities and other diagnostic tools and equipment to ensure that even in this remote area that advanced medical technology is made available to the people.

We must be able to continue providing this human right to Kashmiri people; please donate today. Every life saved by this clinic through your donations insh’Allah will become great reward for you.

Donate Today! Suggested donation is $100
