Within the stone and iron walls of America’s prisons rests a growing population of socially conscious individuals. Regardless of the reasons for their imprisonment it is the duty of the community to ensure that they are guided and helped with whatever they may need. It is a goal of The Zakat Foundation to help  the prison population with whatever they may need to become responsible and citizens who promote peace.

The Zakat Foundation of America receives requests from inmates on a weekly basis and we have been responding to those requests by sending a simple package which can help them learn and maintain tranquility in their hearts and minds. This kit contains educational material along with materials that they request. Each kit costs $25 to assemble and ship to any prison in the United States.
